Mini-Course: Preparing for School-Entry

1 - Gathering Information for School-Entry

Analyzing the information gathered

After gathering information from the school, other parents, your child, and yourself, you will have a great deal of data to consider.

To fully take advantage of the information you have gathered, look for patterns:
  • What does this information suggest will go smoothly with the school-entry process?
  • What does the information suggest about potential trouble spots or challenges?
  • What information gaps do you have, and
  • How do you think you can find this information?
Any patterns you find across sources will help you to prioritize information and needed accommodations.
