Introduction

Teaching a child with a cochlear implant may seem daunting, but with a few simple modifications and accommodations, you will be well prepared and successful.

In this mini-course, we provide strategies to support a child with a cochlear implant that are easily implementable in most classrooms. Although the strategies are typically simple, they will likely result in significant benefits for the child with a cochlear implant. They may also benefit the other students in your classroom.

After completing this mini-course, you will be equipped with strategies that will help a child with a cochlear implant in three basic categories:

  • Listening support
