Mini-Course: Preparing for School-Entry

3 - Working as Part of a Team

Informal teams

Informal teams may come together under the leadership of a person trying to develop a strategy or address a problem for a child.

For example, you may develop an informal team or network of people that you ask for advice or strategies to help the child with a cochlear implant.

Members of your informal team may be the same as or different from an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Section 504 team, which are described on the following pages.
