Mini-Course: Preparing for School-Entry

2 - Preparing Your Child for School-Entry

Asking for clarification

As your child's age and skill-level increases, work on asking for clarification if he or she needs the speaker to repeat a message.

Another great skill to practice, once your child is ready, is having your child restate what was heard to ensure it was correct, and as a means to remembering complex instructions or longer strings of information.
